Ramose Murex
Ramose Murex
The murex shell is a spiked and spiny shell with an unbalanced shape. The spiky shells were once home to one of over 1200 species of gastropods from the Muricidae family.
Aristotle was the first person to record the term Murex and identify these types of shells in the Mediterranean Sea. It was used to dye fabrics in ancient times but can now decorate your space or accent your shelf.
Because shells are natural, each one may look different from those pictured.

Remose Murex Shell
Beautiful Ramose Murex. Arrived very well and safely packaged. I love this particular species of shells because of its uniqueness. I live in southwest Florida and here the Junonia is the prized shell, and yes it is beautiful, but the Murex shells are really so unique.
